Next up on the EJP interiors takeover is a little bit of living room lovin’ with all things cosy featuring strongly. If there’s one thing a living room should be, it’s a place to relax and switch off.
The open plan living room-come-kitchen in our new home features wooden flooring, an abundance of shelving and a glorious fireplace that I’m excited to fill. All my previous homes have come furnished so I’m overjoyed to finally lose the typical brown leather sofa (why landlords, why?) and get to do my own thang with the styling and furniture choices.
In fact, part of my trip to Milan was all about scouting out the latest trends to style up the new black velvet sofa that will be making its way into my life pretty darn soon. Don’t worry, I’ve included some of the other sofas that didn’t quite make the cut below, I know that some of you are after a little more colour in your life.
I have strong ideas for how I want the space to look. If you read my bedroom edit, you’ll know that we’re very much going for a bohemian and industrial vibe all around and I’m dreaming of rattan furniture and Moroccan accessories. The lounge offers more space for pops of colour, greenery and texture and I hope to god it all comes together exactly how I imagine.
