The Fearless Festivities | Styling for Christmas with Out There Interiors

Yes, it’s December. And that means one thing and one thing only. I can FINALLY talk about Christmas. With the press world seeing in festivities in July, by August I was well and truly bored of any mention of Santa Claus and as a result, there was a strict embargo on any mention of the C-Word and its associated words, taboo style.

So this month, when Out There Interiors asked me to come up with my perfect festive living space, I jumped at the chance to get my imagination going – anything for the promise of interior dreaming and furniture hunting. Making wishlists around here is essentially like Christmas shopping without all the crowds, bills and well, actual things. But hey, we can all indulge in a little cyber decorating every now and then right?

3 // Burgundy Velvet Cushion | £48
4 // Star Dome
5 // Velvet Club Chair | £839
6 // Glass Amber Floor Lamp | £325
7 // Round Glossy Side Table | £599

When I think of my perfect Christmas I immediately think of a country cottage with a warm fire and matching checkered pyjamas. Jewel tones of red, green and blue spring to mind with gold accents and decorative ornaments, although forever classy, indulgent and without a hint of Mr Claus in sight. Texture is also key with cosy velvet and reflective surfaces all helping to bring together my vision of a luxe Christmas morning, one where Eggs Royale is a given.

One of the great things about the Out There Interiors site is that you can actually search the product catalogue via colour – an EJP dream. Rather than scrolling through the various product categories, you can shop an eclectic range of furniture and accessories based on your inspiration and mood board. It didn’t take me long to suss out the above electric blue velvet club chair and the accompanying mustard and burgundy cushions, that’s for sure. The sixties nature of the floor lamp and decorative gold table brings back in the EJP sense of style and the star dome adds a festive touch, again without being too over-the-top.

And when it’s Christmas, you can’t help but think about drinking, ahem, entertaining. I have to say I was rather pleased with my party interior hunting from the vintage-esque bar cart to the pink Prosecco sign, perfect for bringing in midnight right from the 22nd to the 31st. Since the company is owned by pink-haired, kitsch-loving Jenny Hurren, I’m sensing that helping homeowners to be guest-ready all year round is one of the company’s main objectives.

The amber glasses are a bargain luxury-for-less item coming in at only £50 for a set of six while the vintage candlestick holders help pull together the jewel colours. Anyone else getting serious Three King vibes? Yes, those dudes who visited Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Seemingly, that’s the look I’ve gone for.

With hundreds of items to choose from at affordable rates, making your own dream Christmas interior could come true with Out There Interiors. The extensive product range had me clicking away for hours and I still couldn’t make up my mind. Why not get searching now via colour and find the perfect gift, for you, yourself and you again, obviously…

What do you think of my Christmas look? Which items should I be sticking on my letter to Santa?

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Out There Interiors but all views and love for alternative interiors are my own. Although I did leave the flamingo leg lampshade outta this one. Next time.
