The Weekly Wall | #001 | DRT London

Near 19 Kentish Town Road, Camden Town, London, NW1 8NH

Nearest Tube Station: Camden Town

If you’ve been to Camden lately you might have noticed that a number of doors and walls have seemingly been taken over by a triangle loving, abstract street artist with a penchant for a rather bright colour palette.

Meet DRT London, the dude behind the geometric additions gracing the North London scene, largely with support from The Real Art of Street Art – an organisation that connects artists to wall space and aims to accelerate the development of real street art in London (no advertising allowed here).

Forever reminding me of gritty stained glass windows and those boiled sweet biscuits that you make when you are little, DRT’s work makes for a refreshing backdrop amongst the Amy Winehouse tributes and effortlessly adds a quick colour fix to the diverse streets of Camden. Find this particular doorway/wall behind Electric Ballroom if walking up the main high street or by immediately turning left and left again upon exiting the station. Be sure to look out for other doors and walls on the way!
